Be inspired by our roofs

A terracotta roof is so expressive that it can literally change our perception of a building! The colour of the roof actually helps to give a building one personality rather than another, accentuating the identity expressed by the facade or changing it completely.

Many factors go into choosing the colour of a roof, from coherence with the setting to character and architectural style or combination with other materials and colours.

The correct choice can also depend on the architectural style of the house and many other factors, from energy efficiency to agreement with neighbours.

Brown or mixed brown and cream tiles are the perfect match for a coffee, cream or cinnamon-coloured house. Dark grey and black stand out and complement each other on a white building, giving it a traditional air. Conversely, greater flexibility is available for houses painted yellow or green.

Warm colours

Terracotta tiles were originally and traditionally made in shades of red and brown: bold, warm natural colours. Colours which can be combined and contrasted to showcase the features of the building, or used more evenly to conceal its defects.
